President Fr. Luke Jongchul Won, Ed.D.

The Catholic University of Korea has successfully hosted the “2020 Fall Catholic University of Korea Innovation Performance Discussion Forum” on the 29th (Fri). This forum was hosted to discover and share cases of university innovations, and the topic of this year’s session was the “Innovation and Integration for the Success of Students.” This event began with the opening words from the Director of the CUK Vision Innovation Center, Koo Bon-mahn, followed by greetings from President Fr. Luke Jongchul Won, Ed.D., and presentations on five cases of innovation.

The first part of the forum included presentations on cases of curriculum innovations such as the △ “On-Off Hybrid Keystone Design Curriculum (Performance Management Center Professor Sang-min Lee and three other contributors)” which was planned in consideration of the contactless era, and the △ “Self-making Job Portfolio (Employment Innovation Center Professor Bang Dam-yi and one other contributor)” planned to support students to show their initiatives to design and successfully complete their own curriculum.

In the second part of the forum, various cases of innovation were presented including the △ Career Path and Employment Convergence and Specialization Curriculum (Startup Convergence Major Professor Cho Hyeong-rae and two other contributors), △ Plan to Vitalize the Joint International Study in the Contactless Era (International Study Cooperation Center Professor Ahn Byeong-gwan), and the △Student Proposed Extracurricular Program Designed by the Student Innovation Planning Team (Law Major Kim Gyeong-tae and three other contributors).
