Genomics Research and Development of New Crop Species for Future

Professor Hee-joo Yoo of the Department of Medical Biological Sciences mainly focuses on studying radishes and grapes. In particular, she is leading the research on the radish genome in Korea. She has published a number of research papers on radish genome in a global genetics journal 「Theoretical and Applied Genetics」 (IF 4.439, the top 0.8% in Agronomy and Crop Science), and has been actively performing technology transfer based on the results of radish and grape research.

Professor Yoo has been contributing to the development of plant life sciences through active research in the past five years, including the publishing of 21 SCI(E)-level papers, registering 21 patents, transferring 5 paid technologies, and publishing 4 books.
