Information on Diplomatic Workshop for College Students in Winter 2021 (55th, 56th)

1. Korea National Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been running the “Diplomatic Workshop for College Students” since 2004 to empower the understanding of major diplomatic issues and strengthen the international competencies of students at our university.

2. The 2021 winter workshop will be held as follows, so students who wish to participate in the workshop fill out the attached application form and submit it to the relevant department of the university.

○ Information on the Diplomatic Workshop for College Students in Winter 2021 (55th, 56th)

○ Period and Location: 2.15 (Monday) to 2.26 (Friday), 7th floor of the National Diplomatic Town in Yangjae, Seoul (next to the Korea National Diplomatic Academy)

- 55th: 2021.2.15. (Monday) to 2.19 (Friday)

- 56th: 2021.2.22. (Monday) to 2.26 (Friday)

○ Method: A mixture of face-to-face/non-face-to-face sessions

○ Application for Participation and Selection Process

① If students enrolled in our university wish to participate, submit documents to the Office of International Affairs (cukintl@catholic.ac.kr)

- Documents to be submitted: Application for participation, consent for the use of personal information, official English transcripts (TOEIC, TOEFL, TEPS, FLEX, etc. (Transcripts acquired within 2 years of the application deadline are accepted only)). The original document must also be submitted when submitting a copy, as the school will compare the copy with the original.

- Application Deadline: 2020.12.23. (Wed), by 17:00 (Must keep the deadline)

② Each relevant department of the university collects and selects candidates for participation and sends a letter of recommendation in the name of the university principal to the Foreign Language Training Division of Korea National Diplomatic Academy

- Deadline for submission of official documents in the name of the school principal: 2020.12.28. (Mon)

- Documents to be attached: Application for participation, consent for the use of personal information, official English transcripts (TOEIC, TOEFL, TEPS, FLEX, etc. (Transcripts acquired within 2 years of the application deadline are accepted only)).

※ Make sure the above documents are not omitted when sending an official letter in the name of the principal.

③ The final 60 participants are selected for each round of recommended candidates for each university submitted by the official letter to the Korea National Diplomatic Academy.

④ Announcement of Selected Participants: To be posted on the website of the Korea National Diplomatic Academy on 2021.1.8 (Fri)

○ Participants will be given a certificate of completion in the name of the head of the Korea National Diplomatic Academy for those who have completed the workshop course.

- Separate announcement will be made to the selected candidates on the criteria for acceptance of completion

○ Excellent digital public diplomacy videos will be posted on the social media page of the Korea National Diplomatic Academy
