  • Hosted a Consortium in the Field of Neurological Diseases Worth KRW 5.7 Billion

A research team led by Professor Daejin Kim (head of the Catholic Big Data Integration Center, Department of Mental Health at Seoul St. Mary's Hospital) at the Psychiatry Department of the School of Medicine of our school will establish AI-based dementia and brain hemorrhage diagnosis data for future medical care.

Professor Daejin Kim led a consortium of 14 organizations through the “Artificial Intelligence (AI) Learning Data Construction Project" organized by the Korea Information Society Agency and will receive KRW 5.7 billion worth of support for the project.

The "Cloud & Crowd"-based study aims to “build medical imaging data for diagnosis of the cerebrovascular diseases and dementia,” and “build voice and dialogue data for diagnosis of cognitive dysfunction.” The research team will form a “Nervous System Disease Specialized AI Data Damn Project Group (tentative name)” to secure and process image data such as MRI/PET, develop algorithms for diagnosis solutions for each disease, and increase diagnosis reliability through AI analysis.
