Congressman Seo Young-seok (Graduate School of Public Administration, Class of ‘02), “Mr. Vitamin“ from the Democratic Party of Korea

Congressman Seo Young-seok, an alumnus of the Graduate School of Public Administration, was elected in Bucheon City <D> after running for the 21st National Assembly. Mr. Seo entered the doctoral program after completing his master’s degree in the Graduate School of Public Administration in 2004.

For 24 years from 1995, Mr. Seo served as a councilor of Bucheon City for three terms, and as a member of the 9th Gyeonggi provincial assembly. In addition, he served as the △head of Policy Development Division of Korea Pharmaceutical Association, △head of Ojeong-gu Operating Committee of Democratic Party, △member of Democratic Party Central Committee, and △head of Ojeong Branch of Democratic Party Supporters’ Association.

Meanwhile, Mr. Seo, a formal pharmacist, was given the nickname “Mr. Vitamin“ after he distributed vitamins to neighbors for a campaign to solve environmental problems.
