Caritas volunteer students are delivering rice and snack packages.

On the 23rd, in the neighborhood of Gogang dong, Bucheon City, staff members of the university and the Caritas charity group completed their “Sharing Warmth on Cold Winter Days” volunteer activities. This year-end donation was designed to deliver rice, grains, and some snack packages to the elderly poor living alone and neighboring low-income families to help them in time for the holidays and the cold winter season. The above-mentioned supplies were purchased from the donations collected through on-campus fundraising activities since last October.

In order to actualize the values of “Truth, Love, Service” based on the founding spirit of the university from Catholicism and to contribute to the local community, the Catholic University launched “Caritas”, a charity group consisting of students and the university staff in 2015. Their volunteer tradition has extended from volunteering at a nearby nursing home to ▲delivering lunch meal boxes to the elderly who live alone ▲supporting youth education ▲local community beautification projects and ▲delivering coal briquettes to neighbors.
