Professor Chai Won-ho of the Department of Public Administration of CUK was elected as the 17th president of the Korean Urban Management Association in the regular general assembly held on Friday, November 26. The term of office is one year starting next January.

Professor Chai received his doctorate in public administration from Seoul National University and completed his doctoral program at the University of Tokyo, majoring in International Social Science. He has served as △President of the Seoul Association for Public Administration (SAPA), △Policy Chairperson and Standing Executive Committee Chairperson for Citizens’ Coalition for Economic Justice, and △The 21st Chairperson of the Deliberation Committee for the News Articles on the Election of National Assembly Members.

The Korean Urban Management Association is an academic organization founded in 1988 to establish land and urban policies, urban administration, and raise decentralization issues, and present policy alternatives that the academia and the public can relate to. (End of Document)
