On the 27th (Tuesday), the orientation for new students for the 2024 academic year under the "DESIGNer Curriculum" was held, with approximately 1,500 freshmen in attendance.

This orientation was planned to instill a sense of belonging and pride in the new students who entered our university in the 2024 academic year and to guide academic regulations and departmental curricula necessary for their university life.

The event was divided into Group A and Group B by major and proceeded with △the Introduction to Majors and △I DESIGN Festival. During the CUK Proclamation Ceremony, various events, such as △Greeting New Students, △Guide to College Life, △Congratulatory Performances, △Congratulatory Speech from the President, and △Gift Lottery, were held.

President Won Jong-chul welcomed the new students of the 2024 academic year with sincerity during his speech, stating, "I sincerely welcome the new students of 2024 who have entered the Catholic University of Korea" and "I will continuously strive and develop to support your precious dreams."

In addition, various academic club promotions were carried out during the event. Institutional and student clubs continued their promotions in Kim Sou-hwan Hall and Andrea Hall, welcoming and supporting the new students.

Noh Hyeon-jong (4th year, Department of Biomedical Science), who served as the promotional ambassador "Cahong," expressed his excitement and said, "I am very excited and happy to meet the new students who entered this year" and "As a promotional ambassador, I want to help them have an enjoyable school life."
