On March 22, 2023, students, professors, and staff gathered for the semester opening mass, which marked the beginning of the 2023 spring semester.

President Fr. Won Jongchul encouraged students, saying, "The reason why every man is dignified is that they are unique individuals not found anywhere else in the world. I hope you will rediscover your true self and turn this semester into a time of joy and hope.”

Following the mass, new faculty members were introduced, and external awards were presented to our students who had won them during the winter break.

ROTC received a citation after being named the excellent ROTC in Korea out of 109. Cha Seungyeon, Han Youngchan, and Cheon Daeun from Professor Choi Sangho's Research Lab in the Department of Information, Communications, and Electronic Engineering won the grand prize, the Science and ICT Ministerial Award, in the barrier-free app development contest. Furthermore, Hwarang, the university's cheerleading club, won first place in action cheerleading in the university division at the National Cheer & Dance Festival, earning the honor of an award.

In addition, news during the winter break, the current status and plan for environmental improvement, the rising trend of competition for university entrance, and other topics were discussed. There was also a session that provided information about the international services and overseas culture exploration scheduled for the 2023 summer break.

"We have prepared a number of opportunities for students to broaden their perspectives through overseas experience during the summer break," President Won Jongchul stated. "I encourage you to seize the opportunity to discover new aspects of yourself and hidden talents.”

The mass was successfully completed with a variety of events centered on enthusiastic interests.
