Notice on E-Scooter Restriction on Campus

 With the recent increase in e-scooter users on campus, the following safety concerns have been raised: 

- Leaving the used e-scooters carelessly on the roads and/or sidewalks outside of designated parking spaces on campus to block the way for cars and pedestrians

- Incurring the risk of collisions by using a smartphone or wearing a headphone during driving

- Increasing the risk of a rollover accident by boarding two or more people and driving at excessive speed

- No safety helmet while riding

- Driving on the sidewalk instead of the roadway

- Abruptly applying brake due to a motor or brake system malfunction on a steep hill

- Increasing the risk of collision with a moving vehicle while riding an e-scooter after sunset 

 Please adhere to the following safety instructions to avoid any e-scooter accidents on campus and to ensure the safety of all campus members.

<E-Scooter Safety Instructions>

▸ When riding an e-scooter, you must wear a safety helmet.

▸ Two people riding an e-scooter is strictly prohibited.

▸ Never ride on sidewalks

▸ Never drive while wearing earphones (headphones) or using a mobile phone

▸ Never come to a sudden halt or drive too quickly

▸ Park your e-scooter in the campus' designated e-scooter parking area  

 ※ If you fail to comply with the safety instructions, you may be barred from using your e-scooter on campus. So please follow the instructions.
