Bust Unveiling Ceremony for the Late Bernard Won-gil Lee Commemorating the 170th Anniversary

The Catholic University of Korea (President Choon Kyu Choi) held an unveiling ceremony for the bust of the late Bernard Won-gil Lee at the Kim Sou-hwan Hall Conference Room on October 31. 

Mr. Lee devoted his life to practicing Catholic humanism and made generous contributions to the development of the university. The ceremony was organized to honor his noble spirit of sharing and love.

The event was attended by about 40 participants, including Mr. Lee’s family and relatives, President Choon Kyu Choi, faculty members, and students, who gathered to pay tribute and express their gratitude.

In conjunction with the ceremony, the university also hosted a photo exhibition highlighting Mr. Lee’s lifelong acts of generosity and dedication, offering a space to reflect on his legacy.

In his congratulatory address, President Choon Kyu Choi stated, “Following the noble spirit of sharing that Mr. Lee embodied, the university will continue to promote humanistic values and a culture of love.”

Lee Deok-hyung, Chairman of Glotech and son of the late Bernard Won-gil Lee, expressed his gratitude, saying, “I hope that my father’s spirit of humanism will be carried on for many generations to come.”
