[College Management Team] 2025 2nd Semester <Lee Won Gil Scholarship> Recipient Selection Notice (Deadline: September 30)

The Lee Won Gil Scholarship was established in 2009 through donations from brothers Deok-seon Lee and Deok-hyung Lee to honor the legacy and humanistic spirit of the late Bernard Wonkil Lee, who lived a life of sincerity toward God and respect for humanity. This scholarship aims to support and recognize students who embody these humanistic values and demonstrate potential to grow as ethical leaders. We invite many students to apply.

Eligibility: Current undergraduate and graduate students of the university as of the 2025-2 semester
 ※ Students in extended semesters may apply; students who have completed their program (수료생) are not eligible.

Application Period:

  1. Document Submission: July 14 (Mon) – September 30 (Tue), 2025

  2. Trinity Application: September 1 (Mon) – September 30 (Tue), 2025
     ※ Trinity application opens in September due to academic calendar restrictions. Email submissions open from July.

How to Apply:
 – Submit documents via email to: suy97@catholic.ac.kr
 – For undergraduates, both email and Trinity applications must be completed by the deadline.
 ※ For Design applicants, physical submission of the A1 poster is also required.
 ※ For Realization (Startup) applicants, one team member submits by email; all team members must apply via Trinity.

Scholarship Amount:
 – Total: 50 million KRW
 – Academic/Service/Design: Total 20 million KRW (approx. 2 million per recipient)
 – Realization (Startup): Up to 30 million KRW distributed based on team scale and content
 ※ No team size limit for Startup section; recipients selected based on evaluation

Common Eligibility:
 – Must be enrolled as a regular student in 2025-2
 – Must attend the awards ceremony on October 30, 2025 (Thu) at Francis Hall, Myeong-dong, Seoul

Scholarship Disbursement:
 – Paid regardless of remaining tuition balance or internal scholarship eligibility

Awards Ceremony (Mandatory):
 – Date: October 30 (Thu), 2025, 17:00–20:00
 – Location: Francis Hall, 66 Myeongdong-gil, Jung-gu, Seoul
 – Academic/Design winners: Present onsite
 – Service/Startup winners: Submitted videos will be screened
 – Shuttle bus from Songsim Campus will be provided

Eligibility & Required Materials by Category:

Academic
 – Graduate students
 – Submit a humanism-related academic paper (within 20 pages)
 – Submit application form (Attachment 1) by email
 – Previously published journal papers and theses are eligible
 – Humanities research will be prioritized

Service
 – Undergraduate students
 – Submit a 3-minute self-produced video outlining personal growth through volunteer activities
 – Submit via email and Trinity
 – Content must include the scope, quality, and future direction of the volunteer experience

Design
 – First-year undergraduates (Class of 2025) in College of Liberal Studies, Division of Natural Science & Engineering, or Division of Humanities & Social Science
 – Submit a poster (A1) outlining a student-designed major or micro-degree program based on humanistic themes
 – Submit both the digital file via email and the printed poster to the College Management Team (Room D237)
 – Trinity application required
 – Content should explain the purpose, structure, selected courses, roadmap, and expected growth

Realization (Startup)
 – Teams of two or more undergraduate students
 – Submit a 3-minute self-produced startup pitch video that targets public interest or humanistic value
 – Team representative submits the video and team list (Attachment 2) via email
 – All team members must apply individually via Trinity
 – Must be in the implementation or post-launch stage of the startup

Undergraduates (Service, Design, Startup)
 – Must complete both email submission and Trinity application
 – Email: July 14 – September 30, 2025

 – Trinity: September 1 – September 30, 2025
 Trinity → Academic Info → Registration/Scholarship → Scholarship Application → Add → Select Lee Won Gil Scholarship → Save
 ※ Design category must also submit physical poster to D237
 ※ Startup team must submit team list (Attachment 2)

Graduate Students (Academic)
 – Only email submission is required
 – Include application form (Attachment 1) and paper
 – Email: July 14 – September 30, 2025
 – Subject format: [Lee Won Gil Scholarship] Academic_Name (e.g., [Lee Won Gil Scholarship] Academic_Hong Gil-dong)
